new tire setup

just experimenting with tire setups to avoid pinchflats/wearing through

on the front: Continental top contact 28
front tire
solid

and on the back: Continental touring plus 37! run on deep v’s
back tire
the tires bulge slightly out of the deep v’s, but there are a couple of us running a similar setup and no problems with it so far

the back tire is doubled-up as well, an experiment mentioned by Tom Mosher on his forum (http://www.tricktrack.freeforums.org)
I used a 23 gatorskin, chopped-off the sidewall, and stuck it as an inside lining on the back

it’d be pretty difficult to get a pinch flat with that, even if i tried. The weight difference is noticeable though insignificant.

my current whip:

It rides really well! the tires grip perfectly on the wet wintry roads of London, even on the infamously slippy metal drain covers. Recommended, though maybe not everyone’s cup of tea
