Archive for October 2010
Right….its taken me a week to get round to this…and its already all over the net so i’ll keep this short and simple. Myself and a whole bunch of guys (and girl) went over to the Death or Glory trick jam organised by Roy (Stay Gold) of 24k and Rotterdam Fixed Gear. We rode a lot….we crashed a lot…people were ripping and the weather was amazing! Massive thanks to the organisers and everyone that went along and the van drivers we wouldn’t have got there without you! Congrats to FGLDN’s Oscar Khan for placing first! Simon from l’Atelier des vélos came 2nd and Gus mixtmeat 3rd.
Juliet won the womens catagory…and wasn’t even meant to be riding due to a back injury, she also made a wicked edit of some footage I shot…I think it gives a good impression of how sick and fun the weekend was! Can’t wait for the next one!
Check out Juliet’s edit…
We beefed them up a little bit and made them super hard too!!

Trimble Racing and the Bicycle Film Festival are proud to announce the Red Hook Criterium Milano to be held on October 15, 2010. This unsanctioned bicycle race will be held on a short technical circuit in the Bovisa distric of Milano, Italy. The racers will consist of urban cyclists, bike messengers, and elite athletes from around the world. Fixed gear bicycles are mandatory requiring an equal combination of speed, fitness, and street skills to win this 18-lap race. Held at night, this race will be visually spectacular for spectators, photographers, and filmmakers.
This event will bring to the streets of Milano the format and spirit of the original Red Hook Criterium held annually in New York City. The Red Hook Criterium has developed a reputation as both a fun grassroots race and an intense high-level competition. The race has been featured on Velonews, The New York Times, and the Bicycle Film Festival.
The Red Hook Criterium Milano is an official event of the Bicycle Film Festival which runs in Milan from October 15th-17th.
Many thanks to our sponsors; Cinelli, San Marco, Dodici, Pistard, Kryptonite, Oakley and Ciclistica for making this race possible.
I took this last time I was in Milan…
