Where can I start off. First, did everyone had a good Christmas? What did you get up too?
This year I had an awesome time, had some good ride’s but this year I wanted to ride more out of London and go for a nice long ride’s. Riding in London is awesome but sometimes I just want to pedal more and see the good open roads. Trying to think back of the thing’s I got up too on my bike, It’s hard as there was so many things had happened to me and one of them was (as you may know from my other post’s) that I’m a dad again.
I’ve met some down to earth Filipino guys at the start of the year, went for some rides and had an awesome time hanging with them, we did a charity ride for Philippines last month to rise money to help our people back home, that lost their houses, needed food and all sort of stuff to bring them back to normal.
I never knew how many Filipino people in London that rides fixed. It’s a shame that most of them hide away or don’t know where to go and ride with other fixed riders in London. So if you know anyone in London that wants to ride or go to our event please let them know about FGL.
So this year me and some of my mates went for a ride to Paris, I’ve been planing this trip since I forgot my passport back 2012. So glad this time I’ve made it over the Channel, doing this trip was amazing had so much fun meeting the guy’s and girl’s of different crew’s in Paris, what I’ve notice about them that they may be in different crew but they all got love and get along with each other. When I got back to London I wanted to know more people that has the same love for fixed bike and I was so glad that we (FGL) are doing events and race for everyone in London, so I get to meet different people and talk to them.
Summer this year was a good one, we actually had a real summer. Good to see everyone out on their bikes and getting tan as you around in London, I’ve spent time on bike with Andy and Moses most of the time just exploring the roads and getting some good snap while on the bike. Going to places and meeting up with people.
Bristol bespoked bike show turned out very well, there was lots of people came down the show. Also I got to see Bristol more and hang out with the 14 Bike co team, I also had my custom build 14R in the show which was nice to see and had a very good respond out of it.
Coming back from Bristol a few weeks later I had the guys back home blogging about me and the bike which was mad love from their side, I was over overwhelmed.
When I got told to try ridding in cleats, I was like ‘na man, don’t think I will like it. Don’t think its safe. Also I have to clip off and on.’ Man was I so wrong I had a go and wanted to see what was the buzz, a big change. Lucky I was going to paris and wanted to be sure I was comfy on my feet. The power you give and the skidding, WOW!
Boyce is our good friend at FGL he done Andys video for Dickies and also he took some rad pictres of me, please check out his work and his clothing brand. In the past blogs you see he did some good shots of me on my bike, we got a small project going on for next year, just keep your eyes open on the blog to see it.
One of the wetness rides in London this year was when we all went to Herne Hill Velodrome for some event but got cancelled because of the heavy rain, but we didn’t want to waste a good ridding time so we went around London and got in the middle of a ver heavy rain…So hard we couldn’t even see where we was going. Everything got wet but we was still smiling.
Never Eat too much while riding! Yeah, I know this may sound stupid but I went for a ride with some friends to Windsor castle and there was a waffle place and never tell me everything is unlimited, I will take all of them. Enjoying this lovely waffle with everything on it, not knowing how much I took in, while going back to central London, not even near London I had this pain all over my body but I just wanted to ride it off but out of no where my muscle just froze up, not moving jumped off and had to strected it out! Not a good time going home that day.
Before the Paris I wanted to be ready with the distant so me and Rob with his mate Jack went to Cambridge first time there too, I found it much easier than going to Brighton. We had all the good view but it was so windy as it was just open filed. So glad we did that ride the our candace was good too.
When Andy told me that he was selling his Koga, I asked him if he was mad. But I didn’t talked him out of it because I wanted it, So happy to have it. The best thing as well my daughter love finding Nemo so when I took it home she was looking at it as if Nemo was there, so if you see this Nemo around London say hi! Thanks Andy.
I kinda miss Tokyo Fixed, it felt like a nice local bike shop, nice and small but I guess you cant put everything in a small shop, so this is why they got a bigger home and re naming it Kinoko cycles, so awesome to have it near my work and a good location as well. Such rad people working there so helpful to customers as well, we did an event at their shop for the Chrome wrenched book and also a phone box alley cat race, which turned out to be a good night. Next year we will be doing more race and events so please tell other people and join in or watch and have a good laugh.
Well, that’s all I can think of about this year on the bike side of my life. Like I said we be doing more of event/race and also rides so please if you had fun on the last two race we put up please tell over people and bring back the fixed bike scene into London again where everyone had fun and just hang out! Have a RAD 2014. Ride safe.

Hey people please be on a look out for this rare mash bike with Nagasawa sticker on it. Jamie is a cool guy that works for Tokyo Fixed Gear. So yesterday he got knocked off and his bike got knicked whilst he was out cold, that’s not a cool thing to do to any one, so please if you see this about, report it ASAP or knock that person off it!
Tokyo Fixed has a new look for their website, the blog area still on the works but please vitis and have a look around. Looking great guys!
