Early sunday morning me and the guy’s meet up in Leicester square to start the charity ride to Cambridge. It was a cold start but as we got going we soon warmed up. As we wiggle our way to north London trying to get out of central we kept the pace going well for all of us, making sure the leg was nice and warm. When we came off the A10 thats when it kinda went all over the place, it started to rain the route we had was getting muddy we got lost, GPS took us to a different route, there was one point we ended up in an open filed nothing but dirt and mud we was riding on. There was hill’s after hill’s then long hill’s, I didn’t remember going to Cambridge up on hill’s before? Well after a few hours trying to get on track we had three guy’s that couldn’t ride no more one had a bad knee and the other a real bad leg cramps also on top of that someone had a tubular wheel that was flat! so we got to the nearest pub and got them a cab to Cambridge. As they go off so did we with even more hill’s to ride up, as it was getting dark early we didn’t want to stop we knew we had to keep going to avoid riding in it. Everyone was riding on empty stomach and hydration was also on low we only had 6miles to go, so we did one more stop to get water and to get something in our belly. All I can remember was stopping at the red light’s and I knew we was close to the station, and as we saw the sign’s the rain came along. When I saw from a long distant the bike rack’s I knew we was almost finish. We reward ourself with a nice hot meal and a good rest in the pub!
Thank you everyone that donated and also well done to the riders that did joined in, good to see pinoy bike community helping each other out!
Yesterday, we went for a ride to Epping!
It started well, just a dark sky and a cool wind but 30-45 minutes into the ride, rain drop’s started coming down… then it became a heavy rain and the temperature dropped. London weather is weird it comes and goes, one minute its rainy and then the sun tries to come out so it stops and then back to rain. One thing I found hard is when your socks gets wet and your jeans sticks to your skin, its so difficult to move! There wasn’t many hill’s to climb but with the hard rain hitting, you can’t see your way and the hills that were there you find yourself pushing so hard to get to the top and sometimes not knowing how far the climb is…
Today I had fun, riding with your good friend’s makes your ride feel so good even when its really bad weather or if your have a bad day. A real good energy can be passed around within the group to encourage all to ride well, I know that sounds mad. But I push myself harder when I see one of my friends going up them hill’s with me.
Too much rain made me want to pee.
Which way is home?
Sunday gone, me and Moses had a little ride to Richmond, the weather was chilled but it didn’t stop us. The road in the park was wet and I had a little slipped on the mini round about, it kinda sucks when you have to ride back trying not to put pressure on your bad wrist. We saw a lots of road bike’s trying to beat their time around the park, going up and down the hill’s to be on top of strava challenges!
That feeling when you see the ground that close to you, sucks!
Last night went for a little ride around London with some mate’s, the temperature wasn’t nice I couldn’t feel my toe’s and finger’s. Just went around Tower Bridge, Canary Wharf then back to central. Roads wasn’t than empty as I thought on a sunday, it really felt it was about to snow last night, then what happend this morning?
