Haha…
Henrik Kürschner…
This dude had the biggest challenge to overcome whilst we were on the CTRS London to Paris ride.
He was feeling ill from the get go and could not hold down any of his food. I thought he might drop out after the first 40 miles.
He also had the lowest gear ratio in the group (48×18) so he was pedaling more than anyone!
80 miles later and 126 in total… he still rode to the finish that was the Eiffel Tower.
It’s easier to ride in a group and go blow for blow with each pedal stroke of the person in front.
When you are alone on the open road wondering how far ahead all the others are/when the next pit stop is… that’s when you know you are in for the ride of your life.
This was the greatest ride of my life.
I hope the next time something like this happens I will be surrounded by the same CTRS crew, all of whom inspire me in some way or another.
If I’m ever in the same position as Henrik (Artoo) I know I’ll make it to the end 😉
