Deep Thinking

leave a comment »

When you have a lot on your mind and you want to just scream and shout so the whole world can hear you, where you can’t think straight.
Why not just take your bike somewhere and not think for a few minutes, forget everything that’s bad and just take all the negative things away from you! Because you know what’s best for you and no one else and the hard work you’ve done. Don’t let anything bring you down..
Don’t just act the first thing that comes in your mind, see what’s good in front of you..

Highlights Of The Easter Hunt

leave a comment »

It was cold & wet but the show went on.  Thanks to those who turned up for the Easter hunt especially the volunteers, it was great fun in the end.  Big thanks to the sponsors too.  Pestle and Mortar, Chrome industries, 14 Bike co & Continental Tires.

14 signed up, half chickened out  due to the grim weather but it was still a great little challenge! It’s always a bother riding in the rain but once you’ve warmed up & you’re with a good bunch of riders the mood quickly lightens up.  The first checkpoint/meeting place was the inner circle in Regents Park.  Everybody was cold.

We kept our legs moving as we had a reconnaissance of the checkpoints while dropping off our helpers at the checkpoints.

Rec Hyde

A massive thank you to the helpers from the checkpoints:

1. Ryan and Jake.

2. Michael and Indra.

3. Mike and Sam.

4. Rob and Glenn.

Finish Check point. Mikey and Lettie.

Once everyone assembled, and instructions were read out, Mikey screamed starters orders & the fun began.

We cycled through wind and rain, but luckily it was Easter Sunday so traffic was light. At each checkpoint our riders collected an Easter egg, containing a map, showing where the next checkpoint was.  First to collect 4 eggs won.

The last checkpoint was Battersea park where Mikey & Lettie waited for the winner under Buddha with the prizes & drinks.

Here were the winners:

3rd place: Dimi

Time: 50.01

2nd place: James

Time: 50.00

1st place: Matt

Time: 35.00

We had a scramble for the drinks in the end so everybody who came out got something:

Then it was over to Bodeans for some good food.  After a little ride from Battersea.

Rain, Rain Go Away!

with one comment

Red hook crit this year was one of the wettest and coldest race ever, racing in an open place where wind and heavy rain got every riders and tested their bodies and also skills to over come this bad weather. No one enjoyed it but hands down they still did it! It says this Sunday will be heavy rain but it will be some sunshine trying to break out, so please let’s hope it won’t be so bad this Sunday and still join us for this awesome event, the map is bigger than the first event we did. Also there will be free drink after.

Hi guys, Bespoked is on right now at the Olympic park velodrome in Stratford & it’s well worth a look.  Go say hi to14Bikeco.

It runs until Sunday so get down there where you’ll get to see the amazing new range Andy designed.

There’s lots of cool stuff there & the venues amazing too, its the fastest velodrome in the world & you’re allowed to have a go – if you get accredited & don some lycra – watch out for those banks though, they’re pretty steep.Image

There are 29’ers, 36’ers, ridiculous chainrings & gold plated bamboo bikes, whatever you like (or don’t) it’s there so go check it out:

Lot’s of un-rideable showpieces there but some real gems too.  Makes a good day out for any bike nerd, here’s  some NJS & a BMX by Ted James:

Keep it fixed.
