After my crash I went on finding a new bike, wanted to stay with a steel frame and a 14 bike co make. I came across with my mates frame, and it was black and I knew one day I would change that colour as all of my other bikes has been colourful in the pass. So Ian from cycle Ps, battersea told me a guy that’s doing awesome paint work on bikes and not many people know about him. So we went down to his work shop and checked out his stuff. Daniel is a rad dude, and if you see his work it’s so good. Go and check his web site out or go to his Instagrame, Colecoatings work shop. Keep your eyes open for more photos and bike detials.
As I’m counting down my holiday with my family to Gran Canaria, I saw this new video by Patrick. After watching this, I won’t sleep till that date comes. His riding videos is always one of the best to me, you always see him challenging himself.
Chas of MASH fame, visited us in London a few weeks ago… Well here is one of the reasons why, watch and enjoy.
Yep, went for a ride to get some Dunkin donuts at Hounslow. A sweet tooth kinda person. I didn’t go alone, had some of my good mates with me.
The day started off rubbish with some light rain, it was dull and cold. But as we went on the day the sun was breaking out of the clouds showing some kind of life and most of all happiness. It made us feel good with the sun shining down on us.
When darkness came we then headed back to central as we said farewell till another ride.. It was also my first time in a while that I was on my bike for most of the day, felt good and coming home to read some magazine given to me from the guys and girls at Pestle and Mortar clothing called The Deck magazine.
Cheers Ryan, Rich, Mike and Ryan good ride!
Back in October my wife got me a track session to the Lee Valley velodrome for my birthday present, so today I went to the track for the first time ever. I was scared and excited at the same time, the only thing I had on my mind was I hope I’ll stick to the corners and not slip!
It was funny hearing people say “ah, it feels funny riding a fixed bike, it will take some time to get use to it”. See I would say that when I’m on a free wheel bike. So the coach explained some rules and how to be safe on the track. This is the safest place to ride a bike, but that depends on how you ride on it!
After a few laps around the safe side of the track, we got onto the track itself. I didn’t hit the corners right way I wanted to see how it felt at the bottom, then each lap I started to go higher and faster till I felt right and natural. Going down the corner from that height gives you that ‘damn that was fast’ feeling.. It felt I was in a roller coaster ride. Got told off for over taking and not looking back, but I guess that’s the street side of me? Maybe or just having too much fun and forgetting there’s other people on the track.
It was a fun experience but I can’t see this for me on the long run, first I can’t ride as fast as I can, second I’m so use on having cars and other stuff in front of me and I like that feeling..
But I’m glad I did it!
Thanks Goldie for getting me this for my birthday.
